been to orchard central aka OC?

i was there last weekend, attracted by the music (or noise) created by some band people.

so we went to take a look since it's opened.

like what i predicted, only 40% of the stores are opened.

the high-end boutiques are at the first few floors, and casual ones at above and basement.

total damage on the day was spent on innerwear, from everywhere in town. haha!

i had 3 of such bling caps: grey, white and gold.

white and gold were from hk.
i usually wear caps during good hair days, not bad hair days!

cos' they make top off the hair with bling and complete the look.

i'm looking forward to 31st july 2009,

that's when internship officially ends.

i need a good break.

a good break = sleep till late mornings, slow sumptuous lunch,

doing the first thing that comes into my mind and long dvd serials in bed.

life these days = wake up at 6.45am to prepare to head to lab,

head home for dinner after work,

short dvd time,

and SLEEP!

so sad. so NO LIFE!

sometimes i break the cycle and go for night movies that end late,

and the next morning is a bitch to get up.

oh oh!

these few days i picked up a new sport!

i'm doing skipping.

hehe.

i used to do jogging around my house,

but you know la, by the time i reach home what time already?!

not safe for girls to run alone at night.

(remembering the horrible incident that used to happen in ntu on a senior.)

so skipping!!!

at my very room and i can skip as long as i want.

i figured skipping is better than running.

my heart pumps harder, i guess.

and whatever it does to my abs......

anyway, anyone tried this??

i just bought this BIO-GOLD eye cream, cos' it's very pretty to look at!

(ok, bimbotic shit here.)

i don't have very serious eye circles,

and i thought this would be a good idea to brighten up my eyes with its gold flakes! (:

the gold flakes do not dissolve easily,

so you have to slowly and delicately massage this around your eyes,

so the skin around can assimilate optimally!

after 1 week then i blog about the effect, ok? (:

my sis bought some henna, and we kept drawing each other.

i helped with the flowers and her blogname on her feet.

and i did my little name on my wrist!

headed over to mount faber safra to do up his safra card.

stole some candy floss from the kids.

end up looking like a big kid.

realized that my forehead looks quite high. because of the hairstyle?? dunno la.

safra card actually have lots of benefits and privileges, ranging from food and entertainment to automobiles and travel. wherever we went today, we looked into the brochure with the list of privileges and discounts to fully utilize the newly-made card. but didn't use much in the end. oh, we had a free pair of GV movie tix to HP and the Half-blood Prince on 16th July upon signing up!

jelly beans, anyone?? i adore the french vanilla to bits. nope, to beans.

got this H&M bronzing powder from HK which gave me nice shade of bronze tan.

so i intended to shop today mainly. but we ended up walking, eating, walking, drinking, walking ALOT. we chanced upon this restaurant, decided to give this new place a try.

ordered this:

this golden enoki with beef taste so goddamn fantastic!!! i absolutely love it!

most of the hours spent today is to kiap toys at marina square. and it made me very happy cos' we got 3 DOMOs!!! in different sizes too!

love is very pro one, ok?! i even had a tiny one for my phone. (: :

oh no, my bed really very crowded already....

the only place i really shopped at was club marc. nothing else. it was too late by then.

tomorrow is my guitar day! (:

Manny used to be the largest of all, but now, NO!

there's something bigger than them, somewhere down there.

put on your 3D glasses and let the ride begin!

once the trailers were on, you can hear from the audience lots of "oooh"s and "ahhh"s,

and you know how great the effect will be later during the movie.

especially in chasing scenes and rapid movements in the snow and bushes can you feel the ultimate shiok-ness in watching movies in 3D!

makes you feel the adrenaline rush in Sid when chased after mummy dino!

as usual some romance injected in the movie besides the mammoth couple expecting a baby.

Scrat always chasing after his nut, and meets a female here.

eventually, Scrat chose its nut over her.

you should watch why.

always have munchies when watching movies!

i think popcorns, nachos, etc movie food are boring.

we love smuggling sushi!

hey, they don't give away very strong smell anyway, so WHY NOT?!

as long as you're not caught. (:

but no sushi that day. can't find them anywhere nearby.

no doubt, we will go for 3D movies more than ever!

next 3D movie in our list,

at shaw lido, intending to catch any movies that is available.

but we ended up sitting around, chat, snap and eat till late.

a good weekend is staying cool at home, playing music and searching random stuff on the net.

this is basically called CHILL.

i like your place. it makes me feel like an ice cold beer in fridge.

oh, know what?? i even crystallized my own guitar pick. super pretty! :D

i almost have that boiling impulse of crystallizing the entire guitar.
reckon it will take ages to stick them and waiting to dry.

this may look like watermelon juice, but it is actually a concoction of well-blended vegetables and fruits. if i recall properly, there is beetroot, celery, cucumber, apple, and some others. i think there are 10 of them. have to drink this every time i step into the house, you know! ideal for health-conscious ones like me.

successfully registered next sem's timetable. planned it as slack as possible since last sem was the most torturous. janet and i made our decision, and i know i won't regret it.

blogger had problems uploading pics last few days.

to conclude about the past weekend:
fulfilling, lots of sleep and HAPPINESS!!!

i had great time shopping,

but no chance to travel amidst the H1N1.

this monday, i got to know a horrifying news.

a PI beside my lab tio H1N1!

my very own PI had been in contact with for a few hours,

even had lunch together,

so she is quarantined as well!

it is very scary to know the virus is getting closer and closer to me.

not comforting to know cos' i just recovered from a normal cold!

on sunday before going for transformers 2,

i headed for the ladies and noticed something.

women are like cats preening themselves in the toilet.

especially those with abundant mirrors front and back like those in PS or vivocity.

exploiting the use of these mirrors to check out every corner and inch of their skin.

at the same time,

i feel that being in the ladies is like a mini competition.

once you stepped in,

you can't help but to feel sneaky peeks reflecting off the mirrors onto your entire body.

then if you take a quick glance at any mirrors,

tadah!

you can catch a split second's moment of girls checking you out.

i believe it's just the girls comparing herself to you,

to see who have the perkiest butt,

more gorgeous eyes,

more expensive bag,

longer legs,

ok you get it, the list goes on.

whatever it is,

my advice to pass such examination from fellow female species is:

to ignore, know you are the best amongst all,

because you are unique!

and naturally you feel confident,

and that makes you beautiful overall!

i've finally seen the doc.
luckily it was just normal cold.

HENG AH.

i've got almost similar symptoms as H1N1,

and i think i scared myself too much.

well, i strongly believe it should be the TLL virus going around within my lab,

i was the third victim these few weeks.

basically i'm just having fatigue, slight sore throat and sniffy nose.

tomorrow shall be a resting day and hence a long weekend ahead!!

today i had my western blot results again,

and feeling happy and relieved right now,

cos' finally i'm having reliable results in a steady rate suitable for presentation in july.

hopefully i can proceed with coIP asap,

as i have always wanted to attempt it! (:

currently working with the germline bio group has taught me alot,
in terms of future after grad.
can do research (mainly), sales, teaching, etc.
i like working right there right now.
it almost felt as if i wasn't furthering studies at all.
everyday was stress-free and i love hands-on.
Perhaps it was the prefect choice to do BS901 at TLL,
since i get to be paid at the same time.
doing internship in school pays nothing,
don't want to waste my time on that.

i've asked about future prospects in sciences industry,
and it is true that everything in the industry depended on your qualifications.
mentor asked if i wanted to pursue PhD,
i have considered that, but i will have to give it some serious thoughts futher.
Not a wise idea if i were to fall into the biosciences trap further deep.

but seriously, do you think i look like a researcher to you?

last month, i thought i was able to adopt one of the animal house guinea pigs.

but after so long, i think my technician there forgotten about it already. ):

didn't have news about it for damn long.

all animals there were albino; mice, rats, guinea pigs, rabbits and even roosters.

they are very adorable but very scared of people there,

cos' they always kena jabbed.

i even named my "future" guinea pig.

i gave the name PIWI. haha!

named it after this RNA called piwiRNA.

too scientific for an animal, i thought but the name is cute!

alright, haven't blogged for long.

went to carrefour sometime ago to look for sushi to eat for movie later.

(it's very shiok to have sushi during movies, you know! :p)

then we walked past the seafood section,

and saw something different among the live prawns:

hmmmm, wonder how it ended up there.

it must be a sexy HOT prawn. LOL.

yesterday we slacked the weekend away as usual,

after he came back from reservist.

"i love my shirt." hahahaha...

sleepy.....as we waited for "I love you, man" to start.

had a simple mini birthday celebration in early morning with family.

cake chosen by serene.

had a great sumptuous dinner with love after work.

love gave a BIG present:

which left me very very happy,

though smile hidden behind the bag.

haha.

love: "where you want to have dinner?

if you cannot decide, then i bring you to where i want you to eat."

me: "where??"

love: "TATSU."

me: "I knew it!!!!!!

actually i wanted to bring you to there to eat on your birthday too.

but i know you want to bring me there,

so i let you bring me there instead."

so here we are!!!

we had this set each:

no prawns for me,

so love switched it to scallops.

let's have some appetizer and salad while waiting for chef.

coke and sakae:

garlic flakes that goes into every dish we ordered,

making the smell and taste more fragrant!

here comes my superbly fresh scallops!!!

we had this salmon, that love deliberately kept it all the way till the rice dish,

because it is JUST SO DAMN GOOD!

soft, fresh and the sauce smells and tastes heavenly in your mouth.

ok, maybe the pic does no justice to the dish,

but i am serious this is excellent!!!

how about some medium rare beef??

the staff are very sweet,

gave a complimentary lemon and green tea ice cream topped with red bean paste,

stuck a candle in the ice cream,

dimmed the lights

and sang birthday song to me!!

was super happy that day.
